Where We AreWho We AreŌHARA-JUKU draws inspiration from the dōbōshū, itinerant thinkers and artists of the Muromachi period, for whom travel was both an aesthetic experience and an inner quest. We conceive of travel as a dō, a path of resonance towards the essence of Japan. Each program creates a dialogue between places, living knowledge, and the inner movement of the traveler, through rare encounters and attentive guidance.
